Michael R. Favazza, CPA
Michael R. Favazza Sr., CPA is the owner of Favazza & Associates, LLC, CPAs. He was born and raised in North St. Louis County. He is a graduate of Rosary High School and the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Mike comes from a very business oriented family. His father was a bookkeeper and part owner of a company on Produce Row in St. Louis and his brother Matt Favazza is the President of Central Bank of Chesterfield, Missouri.
Mike has been married to his college sweetheart Linda who is a Registered Nurse at Missouri Baptist Hospital. His son, Mike Jr. followed in his father's footsteps and is a CPA. Mike’s daughter Julie followed in her mother's footsteps and is a registered nurse In Cincinnati, Ohio. Mike is the proud grandparent of 5 grandchildren and is a resident of St. Louis County. When Mike is not in the office you can find him on the golf course or at his grandkid’s games.
Mike has a passion to give back to the community and is always lending his talent and time to civic and charitable organizations that keep St. Louis and St. Charles County a wonderful place to live and work.
Mike was the 2015 Chairman of the Board of Directors for the O'Fallon Chamber of Commerce. Mike was also past President of the Greater St. Charles County Chamber of Commerce and is still currently a member. Mike also is involved and serves on the Board of Directors as Treasurer for Vision St. Charles County Leadership Program, Inc.
Favazza & Associates, LLC specializes in CFO controllership services for organizations of all types. We manage all accounting aspects of the business from bookkeeping, business planning, tax planning and preparation.
Amy J. Smith
Director of Operations

Amy has been with the firm for 13 years and has performed functions to include marketing, sales, technology management, software training, event planning, office relocations, bookkeeping, human resources, tax processing and some tax preparation.
Amy has worked alongside of Mike Favazza on the growth and development of the firm and takes immense pride in its values, successful milestones, and continued accomplishments. Amy has assisted clients with marketing strategies that has led to additional growth in revenue. Prior to joining Favazza & Associates, LLC Amy worked in small business and consumer banking as well as payroll sales for small businesses.
Amy is a wife and mother of 4 with 3 boys and 1 girl as well as 1 granddaughter. Amy was born and raised in St. Louis County now residing in St. Peters for the Autism advocacy and support that is provided in the public schools for her youngest son. Amy enjoys decorating, DIY shows, organizing, and shopping.
Christy M. Straight
Christy has more than 12 years of industry experience in accounting. Prior to starting her career in accounting, she spent over 5 years in customer service roles. Before joining Favazza & Associates, she worked for a diverse range of organizations including large corporations, medium sized software company, and privately owned commercial electrical contractor with multiple locations. In these roles, Christy was responsible for Accounts Receivable and Payable, Payroll, General Ledger, and Financial Reporting.Christy currently prepares business and individual income tax returns for our firm clients. Christy helps clients by looking “Outside the Box” when faced with challenges and can look at the whole picture to find a solution. She can help your company work through the books so you can focus on the business itself. Christy has experience with online businesses, multi-state sales tax and can help you navigate through Nexus. Christy is also an expert at QuickBooks and QuickBooks On-line. Christy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Lindenwood University as well as an Accounting Certificate from St. Charles Community College, graduating with honors in both. She will be continuing her knowledge by enrolling at Lindenwood University to work on obtaining her CPA Certification. In her off time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and shopping. She is also a big supporter of the St. Louis Chapter of Huntington Disease Society of America.
Melissa M. Feathers
Melissa currently has 15 years of experience in the accounting profession. Prior to joining Favazza & Associates, LLC in 2016 she was working for a national bank. Melissa was a referral from a client that knew she was looking to get back into public accounting. We welcomed her with open arms.
Melissa specializes in working with businesses that generate up to $5 million dollars in sales annually. Her experience and knowledge of intercompany cashflow transactions and multi owner businesses is unique, and she makes the complex look easy.
Melissa currently holds her Bachelors of Business Administration and Associates Degree of Applied Science with emphasis on Paralegal studies. She is QuickBooks Online Certified, a Notary Public in the state of Missouri and most importantly a Mom.
Her ambitions include attaining her CPA License to further her career path with our firm.
Patty L. Brown

Patty Brown, Sr. Accountant Patty is part of in her words “our awesome team” here at Favazza & Associates. Patty has more than 25+ years’ experience in accounting. Patty was hired by her instructor in her accounting class to work in his bookkeeping service, she then worked for CPA firms in Southern California. Her last job was working as the Controller for 11 years for an Asphalt Paving Company in Tulsa, Oklahoma before moving to Missouri to be closer to family in the St Louis Area and coming to work for us.
Patty does all phases of accounting, corporate, and individual income tax returns. Patty enjoys working with her clients and our team to help when and where needed. Outside of work Patty has many interests, being with family, gardening, collecting antiques, reading, sewing to mention a few.

Dana M. Overhulser, CPP
Dana holds her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration specialized in Human Resource management from SIUE. Dana is an active member of the American Payroll Association (APA), Independent Payroll Providers Association (IPPA), Small business Accounting (PASBA), and the local Gateway Association of Payroll Professionals (GAPP).
Dana manages all aspects of payroll, including processing, tax payments, all payroll tax returns, and working directly with clients on all payroll needs.
Dana has more than 10 years of payroll experience. Before joining the team at Favazza & Associates, LLC in 2017, she worked for a diverse range of organizations, including small business startups, large corporations and government agencies.
Dana’s varied background in human resources and payroll provided the perfect foundation for the Payroll Manager at the firm. Passionate about payroll services and it possibilities, Dana provides services that help with your payroll and human resource needs.
Dana is originally from Iowa, and is new to the area. She likes to explore what the St. Charles and St. Louis areas and experience the offerings and diversities. While she is not making magic at her desk, you’re likely to find her spending time with her family.
Gina M. Prather
Gina holds certification from the H&R Block Income Tax Course. Annually, she engages in continuing education classes to keep up to date with the current tax laws. Gina has more than 10 years of tax preparation experience.
Before joining Favazza & Associates in 2016, Gina was employed for 9 years with an accounting firm in Northwest St. Louis County. Gina was responsible for data entry, review and processing of tax returns.
She is detail oriented, organized, always eager to assist other team members, and is a big believer in doing things right the first time. Outside of work Gina enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
Kimberlina E. Gooch
Kimberlina has her Business Management and Accounting Degree. She is a Certified QuickBooks Online Pro Advisor and is currently working on QuickBooks advanced courses. Kimberlina participates in continuing education and is a very quick learner. Kimberlina has been with our firm for over 2 years and prior to that she performed on-site accounting services for a large records center.
Kimberlina is extremely technology savvy and has the go-getter attitude that employers dream of. She is a great asset to our firm and we look forward to seeing the many contributions that she will make in this firm on top of what she has already given. Kimberlina truly loves her work and takes satisfaction in helping our business clients achieve milestones in their business goals.
Anthony M. Foppe
Anthony has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and his MBA with emphasis in finance from Lindenwood University. Anthony is in pursuit of obtaining his CPA license with only needing his 2 years of public accounting experience to complete this designation.
Anthony has prior experience working for different sized companies. His prior month-end close accounting experience will serve our clients the proper attention to detail they expect. Anthony gives top-notch customer service and is always eager to assist his team.
When he is not working he enjoys spending time with his family and going to the gym.

Lacy manages clients by providing all aspects of accounting work including, but not limited to; Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Monthly Reconciliations.
Lacy is a qualified accountant with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Missouri St. Louis, and has been a member of Favazza & Associates for 2 years.
Lacy is no stranger to accounting, having spent 3 years bookkeeping prior to joining our team. During that time, she managed many different companies accounts payable and payroll, including union companies. Lacy has experience working with Sage 50/Peachtree and QuickBooks.
Mari-Jo supports each team member to ensure their day-to-day operations run smooth and efficiently.
A big believer in superior customer service, Mari-Jo makes sure each client is attended to promptly, and individually, as each accounting need is unique and personal.
Mari-Jo is no stranger to public accounting, having spent 8 years supporting Certified Public Accountants, where she was always the team’s administrative go-to person. This allowed her to develop strong relationships with firm clients, ensuring a reliable and proficient accounting experience.
Mari-Jo is a problem solver, who cares for each client’s needs.
Mari-Jo comes to our firm with a level of professionalism and maturity that you would expect from a seasoned CPA firm assistant. She has 8 years public accounting firm experience. Mari-Jo is familiar with the procedures and processes to ensure your taxes are handled correctly from beginning to end.
