Michael R. Favazza Sr., CPA is the owner of Favazza & Associates, LLC, CPAs. He was born and raised in North St. Louis County. He is a graduate of Rosary High School and the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Mike comes from a very business-oriented family.

Mike has been married to his college sweetheart, Linda, who is a retired registered nurse. His son, Mike Jr. followed in his father's footsteps and is a CPA. Mike’s daughter Julie followed in her mother's footsteps and is a registered nurse In Cincinnati, Ohio. Mike is the proud grandparent of 5 grandchildren and is a resident of St. Louis County. When Mike is not in the office you can find him on the golf course or at his grandkids' games.

Mike has a passion to give back to the community and is always lending his talent and time to civic and charitable organizations that keep St. Louis and St. Charles County a wonderful place to live and work. Mike is a Community Board Director for CNB STL Bank.

Favazza & Associates, LLC specializes in CFO controllership services for organizations of all types. We manage all accounting aspects of the business from bookkeeping, business planning, tax planning and preparation.

Jacob Whitling, CPA

Jacob was born and raised in St. Peters, Missouri.  After graduating from Fort Zumwalt East High School, he went on to complete his B.S. in Accounting and a M.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Missouri – Columbia.  As Jacob as always shown an affinity for numbers, he was on the Dean’s List and graduated Cum Laude. He has passed all 4 parts of the CPA examination.

Having years of experience in inventory and customer service, Jacob is no stranger to a hard work ethic.  He strives to provide excellent customer care while performing impeccable accounting skills.

In his free time, Jacob enjoys golfing, playing softball and watching movies. Jacob feels that accounting is his calling in life and that reflects in his work performance.  “The numbers don’t lie.  They are a puzzle that I am always willing to figure out.”

Mary Russo, Enrolled Agent

Mary currently has 14 years of experience with small business and individual tax preparation. She graduated from St. Louis University and holds a B. S. in Accounting. In addition, she is an enrolled agent with the IRS and has years of experience with QuickBooks. She represents clients before the IRS to resolve various tax issues and to abate IRS penalties.

Prior to joining Favazza & Associates, she prepared individual and business tax returns along with monthly bookkeeping. In her spare time, she was a volunteer with AARP helping the elderly and low income prepare and file tax returns.

Mary is married with three sons. In her spare time, she enjoys walking, spinning, and traveling with friends and family.

Chelsea Calvird

Chelsea brings a wide range of experience in accounting and small business knowledge to the firm.  After graduating from Fort Zumwalt South, Chelsea spent years in customer service and management roles.  She worked for a local lumber yard as the full-service accountant and is familiar with the issues that can arise in the construction field and local small businesses.  Chelsea’s levelheaded nature and attention to detail are great additions to the Favazza team.

In keeping with her goal to become a CPA, Chelsea graduated on the Dean’s List from St. Charles Community College with an Associates Degree in Accounting.  Maintaining her studies diligently, she is now pursuing her accounting degree at the University of Missouri St. Louis.  She is looking forward to obtaining her degree while using her skills and love for numbers on the path to obtaining her CPA license.

When Chelsea is not at work, she enjoys spending time baking creative cakes, cheering on her favorite sports teams and spoiling her 3 dogs.  She is an avid athlete and lifelong softball and volleyball player.

Maggie E. Aldridge

Maggie currently has 12 years of experience in the accounting profession. Before joining Favazza & Associates in 2013, Maggie was employed for 6 years with a public accounting firm in Tallahassee, Florida. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Florida State University. Maggie has a lot of experience with QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online and preparing tax returns.

When Maggie is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 children and attending St. Louis sporting events.

Jackie Phillips

Jackie joined the Favazza team in 2021 as its Executive Assistant. Prior to joining the firm, Jackie worked as a systems analyst in a leading law firm for 10 years, and served more than 12 years in the customer service industry. Jackie assists the firm with case management, reporting, and the internal workflow of the office.

Jackie holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of Missouri – St. Louis, graduating summa cum laude. Her smile and charismatic attitude add to the warmth and personal touch you’ll experience with Favazza & Associates.

Jackie is a wife and mother of 1, stepmother of 2, and fur baby as well. Jackie was born and raised in St. Louis County and now resides in Wentzville. Jackie enjoys the outdoors, scouting, and the occasional karaoke with family and friends.
